Wholly Handmade Christmas

I've toyed with the idea of a Wholly Handmade Christmas before, and always given up on the idea, citing not enough time as the main reason. Whilst I am as busy as ever, I'm beginning to think more and more about the type of gifts I like to give. I spend a lot of time making handmade gifts for people I've never met, and whilst I enjoy swapping I think it is time to spend some crafting energy on gifts for loved ones.

So embarking on the Wholly Handmade Christmas Adventure, I have approximately 20 or so gifts to think about and make. I'm starting early enough (I think) for this not to be a problem.

If anyone else is up for the challenge, I'd love to hear from you!

I'm a recent swap partner of yours (Swap-Bot Recipe/Craft) and I've considered a Handmade Christmas several years running. The things that stop me are my penchant for procrastination, not being wholly 'sure' of my talent to create, and 'difficult' giftees. Someone who is hard to buy for, is doubly hard to make for :-)

With your talent no doubt people will be clamoring for gifts from you. I wish you every success in this endeavor, and I look forward seeing what you come up with.

Ack! I should have read your blog before I looked at your Flickr!

Can't wait to see the pressies you make!

But you've hit the nail on the head though, we spend more time, effort and money making stuff for people we've never met, and not enough on our nearest and dearest...
