Jeremy

This is a softie I made a few weeks ago. His arms are not all that flash - need some work in this department.

I really like his button eyes.

Next I am going to have a go at a Mini Moopy.

May Pin Cushion Challenge

Here is my pineapple for the May Pin Cushion Challenge organised by Booga J. I had loads of fun stiching this little dear and am looking forward to next month's theme.

I have a few different projects on the boil at the moment. One of which is for Stephanie Syjuco's Counterfeit Crotchet Project. I am replicating this Christian Dior Bag.

I'm also working on a gift for a friend, here's a sneak peak... ah... the humble French Knitter!

Use What You Have Swap

Hurrah, last night D made a trip to our post box and what was waiting in there for me, but my swap from the marvellous Belinda. Thank you so much!

I love everything! Look at the gorgeous oriental pin heads - yeah!

And the tissue holder - perfect for my sniffly nose! What a wonderful package to get while I'm feeling glum. In fact today I am finally starting to feel a bit better! My work has been so good as to not panic with me being off all week and for the first time in a long time I am feeling like I will have recovered before starting work again (I'm sure this just makes you sick for far longer!).

Fuzzy Head

I haven't done a crafty post in awhile, and I can put it all down to the damn flu. I've been feeling crappy all weekend and am at home from work today. In fact this is the first thing I've done today other than sleep and fill my hot water bottle. I will post some craftiness when I am feeling better and my head is no longer fuzzy.

Melbourne Weekend

We had a lovely time in Melbourne over the weekend. Lot's of eating out, shopping and wedding excitement. Our friends wedding was fantastic, the ceremony and reception held at the Wesley Anne, an old church which has been turned into a pub in Northcote. The groom is in a bluegrass band and they treated us with some great tunes and some more music from some other bands. Lot's of fun!

I found the weekend very inspiring and hope to get on with some projects I've had in my mind for some time.

Use What You Have Swap

This is a picture of some of the materials that I am using for the Use What You Have Swap. I've started making a bag and have ideas for a few other things - I'll post some sneak peeks soon.

D and I are off to Melbourne for a wedding this weekend. Looking forward to it!

Burra Weekend

D and I have spent the weekend with my parents at their cottage in Burra, a town roughly two hours north of Adelaide. My Dad grew up there and I have lots of memories of holidays spent with my Grandma and Grandpa. This weekend was the Clare Gourmet Weekend, where wineries showcase their vintages and serve food. Unfortunately it has been really cold and they didn't have as many people attending as usual. On Saturday we went to Annie's Lane, shared a bottle of Rose and a cheese platter - delicious!

Agnes was (of course) totally adorable and I took far too many photographs of her. I couldn't resist sharing this one:

This morning we took her for a walk. It was pretty cold but lovely and sunny. We paid a visit to the creek where we used to spend a fair bit of time when I was little. It's such a lovely park. We used to collect monkey nuts from the pine cones and feed the ducks. I always looked forward to it until one day a hungry duck bit my thumb while I was feeding it some bread - disastrous! Didn't see it today....but I was on the lookout.

Ahh, happy days!

Patterned Prints

My sister gave me these canvasses covered with textured wrapping paper for Christmas and they are finally installed in our house. I love the feel of them, paper and velvet to the touch.

They remind me of Florence Broadhurst's designs. I love her work and need to do some more investigating about her.
