Inspiration

I went to the East End Markets on Saturday with my sister and step-mum. Some girls I studied shoemaking with had a stall there and I'm feeling like I want to get into it again, I've had a long, much needed break and now can't wait.

We're moving in a bit over a week, where I'll have room to house all my workshop tools - again, I can't wait!!!!!

Of course its hard when working full time to force yourself into the workshop, but I'm hoping that with having it at home I'll steal some time here and there!

Bring on the move!

New House

It's been ages since I've posted anything, I think about but there always seems to be something else I have to do at the moment. We've bought a new house and it's rapidly drawing to settlement. We're renting out our current house so there's loads of things we need to get ready before some tenants can move in.

So many things we should have done for ourselves a year ago, but we were thinking of building on at one stage so left things with that in mind... oh well.

Here's some pictures of our new place:

It's so much bigger than our little cottage, I hope to be able to move my workshop materials from my mum's so that I might actually make so shoes... it's been so long!

Skip

Things are pretty crazy around here at the moment. I have received some great swaps - I intend to post about them over the weekend.

D and I have hired a skip for the weekend to fill with concrete and other miscellaneous crap around the house....

More news soon.

My Power Colour

Your Power Color is Green

You feel most at home in a world of ideas.
You're curious and logical - and enjoy a good intellectual challenge.
You're super cool, calm, and collected. Very little tries your patience.
Your only fear? People not realizing how smart and able you are!

Passing Time

I can't believe how quickly the past month has gone. I've been settling into a new rythm at home and work and now want to spend some more time on being creative. It's been a month where we have spent about two nights at home a week, an endless parade of work, dinners and family visits (not that I resent these of course) but I haven't had anytime to make things... and I miss it.
I've been participating in some swaps through swap-bot, and although I've been getting things off on time, I feel like I haven't spent enought time thinking about them. I've got two to sort out this weekend, a paper goods swap and one based on the five senses.
I've received a couple of things in the last couple of weeks that I will upload in the next few days when I have got myself sorted. The craft room has been a big mess, but it is slowly coming together (another project for the weekend!).
